What is Ghee?

Ghee is similar to clarified butter, which is produced by heating butter to remove the milk solids and water. However, in comparing ghee vs. clarified butter, ghee is simmered longer to bring out the butter’s inherent nutty flavour and is left with a higher smoke point than butter, meaning that it can be heated to a higher temperature before it starts to smoke.

Ghee made from grass-fed butter is packed with vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as fatty acids CLA and butyric acid, leading to some interesting health benefits. Not only that, but ghee is rich in beneficial nutrients and contains several fatty acids that are important to health. Plus, there are numerous other benefits of ghee, and some of its components have been shown to do everything from boost weight loss to improve digestion and relieve inflammation. Learn More

Will I get high from Hemp Ghee?

No, you would not get high because any THC from raw Hemp Seeds is actually the non-psychoactive form – THCa. Cannabinoids like THC are rapidly metabolised and do not build up in the body over time.

What do I use Ghee for?

Ghee is much better for you than butter. It’s similar in health benefits to coconut oil or olive oil, but it’s better for cooking because of its high smoke point (450-485 degrees for ghee vs. 280 degrees for olive oil). When other oils smoke, they become trans fats!
